So, what happened today:

1. Geometry students didn’t really try on the test. “I need make up work because I didn’t well on the test,” or “I need you to help me, I slept through class.”

2. Students will try to break anything you give them. This includes throwing textbooks. This also includes jamming a pen into the side of a calculator in an attempt to break it. (Note: The pen broke and ink went everywhere).
3. Journalism students still don’t want to write and also have no idea why learning punctuation and interviewing skills is important to “Journalism.”

4. I need to teach and manage differently.
